13:37:37 <Riccccardo> hi
13:37:58 <Riccccardo> I have a problem with the PA updater
13:38:48 <Riccccardo> it downloaded a corrupt app and now it will not update that app at all, always claims the file is corrupt... where are the downloads stored so I can delete the update and have the updater download it again?
13:42:21 <Riccccardo> I'm at work and have to take care of things, so I will be AFK for a bit... will look forward to a solution... tnx
13:45:00 <benedikt93> Riccccardo, it currently uses the Internet Explorer engine for the downloads, so you'd need to clear IE's cache. I'm not exactly sure how to do so, though.
13:50:35 <Riccccardo> ok, awesome, that's what I needed to know... BTW, PA rocks, it's completely changing the way I attend to things
13:52:11 *** rasher (~rasher@rockbox/developer/rasher) has joined #portableapps
13:53:28 <rasher> What's required for a .exe to show up in the list of apps when I refresh? I wanted to add a version of an app with a commandline argument, and wrote a tiny program to do that, but it's not showing up :\
13:54:55 <Gizmokid2005> rasher: if you're adding commandline arguments for an app
13:55:05 <Gizmokid2005> just read the help file, you put them in the corresponding .ini and just run the app as normal
13:55:25 <rasher> I want both options there, so that won't help
13:55:37 <Gizmokid2005> both options being?
13:56:17 <rasher> I want the app - with no arguments - and then I want to be able to launch it with some arguments
13:56:43 <rasher> I thought the launcher just picked up any .exe, but it seems not?
13:56:53 <Gizmokid2005> rasher: http://portableapps.com/support/portable_apps_suite#addingotherapps
13:58:10 <rasher> Strange, it wasn't picking it up when I placed it in the same dir
13:59:00 <rasher> But yeah that works
13:59:03 <rasher> a bit messy though
13:59:09 <Gizmokid2005> that's your option
13:59:11 <Gizmokid2005> that
13:59:21 <Gizmokid2005> or put it in a separate app install
14:00:22 <rasher> Well I sure don't need the entire app twice
14:00:38 <Gizmokid2005> how else would you expect it to be done?
14:01:15 <rasher> Like with libreoffice. X .exes in one app dir => X menu entries
14:01:32 <Gizmokid2005> that's got a special appinfo.ini
14:01:41 <Gizmokid2005> if you look through the app, you'll see it
14:01:52 <Gizmokid2005> you have to build a new exe to encompass all the others.
14:02:17 <rasher> Oh well, I can work around it.
14:03:28 <rasher> Thanks.
