02:38:03 <pa_4817> I just today started getting the following error "The PortableAppsPlatform.exe file is not a valid PortableApps.com release and can not be launched". Is there a fix for this or should I reinstall? If I reinstall will I have to set up my apps again or can I carry over the folder for the apps I already have and will they function?
02:39:27 <ZachThibeau> yeah they are designed to work like that, it wouldn't be a portable app if you couldn't move it from one location or another
02:39:27 <JohnTHaller> That can be caused by a few different things. The most common one is corruption of the drive or infection of the platform by a virus.

02:40:07 <JohnTHaller> I'd suggest checking the drive for errors and scanning it for viruses. After that, you can install a new platform over the old as long as you point it to the same directory (the one containing Start.exe)
