01:34:33 <pa_9629> Anyone else having login issues with Pidgin Portable 2.10.8 just released?
01:35:18 <pa_9629> Trying to log in to XMPP and it's stuck 'Connecting' but it worked fine before I upgraded.
01:36:49 <Gizmokid2005> pa_9629: the devs are looking into that
01:36:55 <Gizmokid2005> it's a known issue with pidgin atm
01:37:11 <pa_9629> OK, cool. Thanks for the reply!
01:37:38 <Gizmokid2005> no problem

02:08:40 <pa_9703> anyone know how to resume a install list my computer crashed at 74 of 204 installs
02:27:56 <Gizmokid2005> pa_9703: what kind of installs?
02:29:18 <pa_9703> well i went threw the list and picked out the apps i thought would bee most usfule to me and it got to 74 of 204 installed i was just wandering if their was a way to re pick up that task
02:29:34 <Gizmokid2005> pa_9703: as of right now there is not.
02:30:16 <pa_9703> aww so i need to go and reselect the packages or would they be stored in temp it downloaded them all i know that much
02:31:03 <Gizmokid2005> I don't know how long those temp downloads stay. I'm also not sure if the install new apps portion of the updater does a full-download prior to installing
02:31:16 <Gizmokid2005> you could potentially look in your temp folder for anything called *.paf.exe to see if they exist
02:31:21 <Gizmokid2005> My gut feeling is they don't.
02:32:07 <pa_9703> thanks for help i see some files in the temp folder
02:32:49 <pa_9703> ill check file content and get back with you on weather or not it dose a full download be for install prosses
02:33:22 <Gizmokid2005> I know it definitely downloads them locally
02:33:35 <Gizmokid2005> but I'm not sure of how long they stay or if they're download en masse before install or not
02:40:13 <pa_9703> i got it
02:41:00 <pa_9703> they are all downloaded before hand
02:41:26 <Gizmokid2005> pa_9703: I had a feeling
02:41:28 <Gizmokid2005> good deal
02:41:32 <Gizmokid2005> just fire them off and enjoy then :)
02:41:53 <pa_9703> give me a sec ill post what i did it added alot of files

05:41:24 <pa_9940> Thanks! First time on this chat. I'm a devoted Portableapps.com fan and have my first problem. It appears I have corrupted my Chrome install and was wondering...
05:41:53 <pa_9940> Can I re-install chrome without having to un-install first?

10:30:34 <pa_7798> 28 th Janurary Opera was update to version 19. Why there is no actualization for this program since version 12.16? I still use PortableApp version and wonder when this program will be update to the latest version.

19:34:41 <pa_2231> Hello! First time on this chat site. I had a problem with portable Chrome causing me to "re-install" Chrome as a last resort. Question: Is there a way to re-install an app in PortableApps.com without having to uninstall first?
19:35:11 <Gizmokid2005> pa_2231: all of our apps can be "reinstalled" by simply running the installer and pointing it to the existing app location
19:35:16 <Gizmokid2005> it will always overwrite the app but not the settings
19:35:33 <Gizmokid2005> if you want to start completely fresh, you can backup the <AppNamePortable>\Data folder or just delete it
19:35:39 <Gizmokid2005> and that will allow you to start 100% fresh.
19:36:19 <pa_2231> Thanks for the prompt response. I am going to try it now :)
19:44:09 <pa_2231> What does it mean by "running the installer and pointing it to the existing app location"? There is a PortableApps.comInstaller folder in the Data folder but there is only one file contained within called license.ini
19:45:06 <Gizmokid2005> I mean download the ChromePortable install file from our website
20:14:31 <pa_2231> I was trying to do everything completely within the platform. Thanks, you opened up a new dimension of control.
