However, you find a lot of portable apps such Infrarecorder which you can even find on the portable apps web site, but if in the portable apps (start.exe) you click on Apps, Check for for More Apps, then some applications such as Infrarecorder are not listed. And the list of missing apps is fairly long. What am I missing?

21:54:16 <Gizmokid2005> It just means that the portableapps team has gone through the app and made sure that it follows the proper guidelines for an official PortableApp.

21:55:27 <pa_4768> I love the portable apps concept btw. It is so hard these days with everything locked down. Portable apps is a life saver.
